Robert Lane Saget, a.k.a Bob Saget, was born on May 17, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His father, Benjamin, worked as a supermarket executive, whereas his mother, Rosalyn “Dolly,” used to work in a hospital. Saget belongs to a Jewish family and spent his early childhood years in California before moving to Philadelphia. Bob Saget enrolled in Abington Senior High School and completed his graduation in 1975. Later on, he joined Temple University and studied film as a major. In 1978 he completed his graduation with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He wanted to pursue his career in medicine, but his literature teacher persuaded him to join the entertainment industry. Saget had a creative mind since childhood. Also, As a student, he worked on a project, “Through Adam’s Eyes.” It was a film about a boy who received reconstructive facial surgery. This project got an award of merit in the Student Academy Awards.
